Marvin Gaye was an American singer, song writer and record producer known as the "Prince of Soul" for his contributions to Motown music. His musical career which span from a stint with a group he co-founded in the late 50's named, "The Marquees" to playing solo music performances in the 60's to 70's propelled him to become one of the most successful and talented musician in his generation.
