Arnold Palmer (1929-2016) won his first major title at the Masters Tournament in 1958. He then went on to win more championship tours with a total of 62 PGA and 2 European tournament wins. Orchids can thrive in a number of climates and habitats. In North America, orchids can be found in moisture rich woodland settings. But with climate changes, these group of flowers are becoming endangered or threatened. Each stamp shows a photograph of one of these nine orchid species: Cypripedium californicum, Hexalectris spicata, Cypripedium reginae, Spiranthes odorata, Triphora trianthophoros, Platanthera grandiflora, Cyrtopodium polyphyllum, Calopogon tuberosus and Platanthera leucophaea.
