To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the USAF and the 40th anniversary of the 117th ARS Kansas Air National Guard, the KC-135 is painted with special markings of ARS logo and the image of ""Akkida Konzeh"". This is one of only four KC-135s operated by the 117th ARS Kansas ANG.
