Marvin Gaye was an American singer, song writer and record producer known as the "Prince of Soul" for his contributions to Motown music. His musical career which span from a stint with a group he co-founded in the late 50's named, "The Marquees" to playing solo music performances in the 60's to 70's propelled him to become one of the most successful and talented musician in his generation. Gregory Oliver Hines, American actor, choreographer, dancer and singer became the 42nd honoree in the Black Heritage Stamp series issued by the US Postal Service on 1/28/2019. In this photo taken by Jack Mitchell in 1988, Gregor Hines is shown smiling on one knee in a red blazer and gray pants. A tried and true advocate for tap dancing, he petitioned for the creation of the National Tap Dance Day. 2019 Year of the Boar US Forever Stamp

The US Postal Service has chosen bright pink peach blossoms as the main feature for the Chinese Lunar New Year theme stamp celebrating the year of the boar. In China, the peach tree fills the landscape with blooms of bright pink flowers in early February. The flowers define feminine beauty, dominance, and sexuality as important traits of power and strength. The stamp's design comes from the original artwork by Kam Mark combined with features taken from previous Lunar New Year stamp series by Clarence Lee and Lau Bun. The art director for this stamp was Ethel Kessler.

The Hearts Blossom US Forever stamp is one of the latest Love series stamps issued by the US Postal Service featuring the word "love" in cursive script below 12 beautifully arranged colorful hearts of red, purple, orange and pink. The stamp was issued on January 10, 2019 and is available now in time for Valentine's Day.
