The U.S. Postal Service will release new stamps, one of which comes as part of a 32-page prestige booklet, to commemorate 250 years of service to the nation. The illustrated Forever stamps, 250 Years of Delivering, tell the story of a mail carrier making her daily rounds during a year in the life of the community she serves. The “Putting a Stamp on the American Experience”booklet highlights popular subjects that give the U.S. stamp program its remarkable range and depth. On June 7, 2025, the U.S. Postal Service unveiled a new U.S. Flag stamp at a ceremony in Three Oaks, Michigan, emphasizing the flag's significance as a symbol of freedom and national unity. The stamp, featuring a design by Antonio Alcalá, showcases the American flag with the words 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' and 'FOREVER/USA.' The Postal Service will celebrate the life and legacy of former first lady Barbara Bush, wife of George H.W. Bush, the 41st president, and mother of George W. Bush, the 43rd president, with a new stamp to be dedicated in Kennebunkport, ME. The first-day-of-issue event for the Barbara Bush Commemorative Forever stamp will be held on June 10 and is free and open to the public. The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has reported over 6,000 dog attacks on its employees in the previous year and is launching the 2025 National Dog Bite Awareness Campaign starting June 1. The campaign emphasizes responsible pet ownership and the importance of securing dogs during mail deliveries to ensure the safety of postal workers.
