The 1975 spring offensive is the culmination of the North Vietnamese military struggle to take control of Saigon that ended in the defeat of the American-supported South Vietnamese government. Approximately, 38,000 lives were lost and around 1.1 million people surrendered or were captured in the war campaign. Since the end of the Vietnam war, there has been much discussion and allegations to the dramatic fall out from the Vietnam war that resulted in millions of people dead including an estimated 58,000 US troops that fought alongside the South Vietnamese military.

Egypt's Suez Canal is the 10th oldest man-made canal of the 19th century with its origins dating back to Ancient Egypt. Construction of the Suez canal started in 1859 that would link the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea allowing ships to travel between Europe and Asia at much shorter distances and faster shipping times.
