The maiden flight of this strange, swept-wing airplane took place in 1997. Due to its unusual shape, the 'Berkut' (royal eagle) is one of the most aerodynamically complex aircraft of the world and has a low radar signature. It's the first Russian jet with fully automatic control of all flight systems.
