The SBC scout and dive bomber dubbed Helldiver was an all-metal two-seat biplane developed in the late 1930s. It was the last military biplane procured by the United States Navy. It was obsolete even before World War II began and was kept well away from combat with Axis fighters. It was produced in several versions before that though, and was used by the USN, the USMC, the Royal Air Force and the French Navy.
