The Swiss air rescue service Rega is the largest air rescue organization in Switzerland. She brings medical help from the air to people in need. For 11 years, the rega had a single fleet consisting of 15 helicopters A 109 K2. From 1992 to 2010 she flew the rescue missions with the twin-engined helicopter Agusta A 109 K2 from Italy (from 2003 by Eurocopter EC 145 and from 2009 by AgustaWestland Da Vinci replaced). The A109 K2 was tailored to the needs of Rega. So they had an excellent flight performance in the mountains and were equipped with compact ambulance equipment.
