St Lucia Lot
St Lucia is an eastern Caribbean island distinguished by the twin volcanic peaks of the Pitons, tropical rainforests, and a warm climate tempered by trade winds. Its predominantly African-descended population speaks English and Saint Lucian Creole, reflecting intertwined African, French, and British influences. Independent since 1979, Saint Lucia is a parliamentary democracy and constitutional monarchy within the Commonwealth. The island’s cultural achievements include two Nobel laureates: poet and playwright Derek Walcott and economist Sir Arthur Lewis.
