Ras Al Khaima Lot
Ras Al Khaimah, one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, stretches from Arabian Gulf beaches to the rugged Hajar Mountains. Its hot, arid climate contrasts with fertile agricultural areas, while Emirati traditions coexist with a diverse expatriate population. Ruled by the Al Qasimi family, the emirate joined the UAE in 1972 and has historical connections to the trading port of Julfar. Navigator Ahmad ibn Majid is closely associated with this region’s maritime heritage.
