Guinea Bissau Lot
Guinea-Bissau is a small West African nation whose territory stretches from humid coastal lowlands and mangrove-lined estuaries to the scattered islands of the Bijagós Archipelago, with a tropical climate marked by alternating wet and dry seasons. Portuguese remains the official language of a culturally diverse population whose communities speak numerous regional languages, reflecting deep roots in societies such as the Kingdom of Kaabu. Once Portuguese Guinea, the country won independence through a liberation struggle led by the revolutionary Amílcar Cabral, and it takes its name from the capital city of Bissau.
