Dansco

Regular price $69.95

Dansco Coin Albums have been a longtime companion for both expert numismatists and beginning coin collectors. The Early Half Dollars 1794-1839 (2 Vol. Set) Dansco Album comes in a 3/4" binder and holds up to 96 coins. The 2-volume set album has 8 Dansco pages (series: 6151 Vol.I-1 to 6151 Vol.I-4, 6151 Vol.II-1 to 6151 Vol.II-4), each one holding and displaying U.S. early half dollars minted from 1794-1839. Early half dollars have many die varieties. The variations are numerous and are often different for a single mintage date. Thus, Dansco provides two albums to collect them all. The first half dollars were minted in December 1794. These coins were made of 89.24% silver and 10.76% copper. Their size was approximately 32.5 mm, each weighing 13.48 grams. In 1836 the composition changed to 90% silver and 10% copper. These coins measure approximately 30 mm, each weighing 13.36 grams. All half dollars minted from 1794-1839 were coined at the Philadelphia Mint. Dansco Coin Albums have their pages attached with metal screws, making it easy to add and replace. Dansco#: 6151. Size: 3/4. Color: Brown. Sold Individually. Case Qty: 12 .
