This plastic assembly kit depicts the Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate (Allied reporting name "Frank"). This aircraft entered service in Spring of 1944 and was mainly tasked with defending the Japanese home islands from attacks by B-29s and carrier aircraft. After the war, the U.S. military evaluated the type and deemed it to be the best Japanese fighter of WWII. The Hayate's form is accurately reproduced and the model features delicate surface details. Modellers may choose to assemble the model with deployed or retracted landing gear as well as open or closed canopy. Parts for a drop tank and two pilot figures, as well as four marking options are included.
