United States Postal Service Stamp News — Dragons

Dragons have been described as mythological creatures from the Northern Hemispheres of Europe to Southern Asia. In Southeast Asia alone, dragons are revered creatures that symbolize power, strength and good luck that inspired popular works of art, architecture, and folklore for thousands of years.   Among the Europeans, the dragon symbolizes dereliction and treachery along with hatred and rivalry.  The U.S. Postal Service celebrates the legendary dragons as an inspiration for bringing the imagination into real life in the form of stamps.
