Introducing Linda McCartney Stamps

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has announced the release of a new stamp series honoring the iconic photographer and animal rights activist, Linda McCartney. Known for her profound impact on both photography and vegetarianism, McCartney's legacy is celebrated through these stamps, which will be available starting September 25, 2026.

The stamp series features several of her most famous photographic works, capturing the essence of the 1960s and 1970s music scene, as well as her commitment to animal welfare. The designs not only celebrate her artistic contributions but also highlight her role as a pioneer in advocating for vegetarianism and animal rights.

Linda McCartney was born in 1941 and gained fame as the wife of Paul McCartney of The Beatles. Her photography showcased many prominent musicians of her time, and her work has been displayed in various exhibitions. Throughout her life, she remained dedicated to promoting kindness towards animals and encouraging a plant-based lifestyle.

The USPS has collaborated with the McCartney family to ensure that the stamps reflect Linda's spirit and mission. The unveiling ceremony is expected to draw attention to her work and influence, as well as promote ongoing discussions regarding vegetarianism and animal rights.
