National Girl Scout Day
You’ve seen them waiting outside your local store, churches and schools all around the country. Rain or shine, these girls work hard to sell their boxes of cookies - all for a great cause!

If you guessed they're the Girl Scouts of America, you’re spot on!
Juliette “Daisy” Gordon Low
On March 12, we’re celebrating the National Girl Scout Day and pay homage to the late Juliette “Daisy” Gordon Low from Savannah, Georgia who in 1912 gathered a small troop of 18 girls from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds to establish the Girl Scouts of the USA. The girl-led group has become a powerhouse since its founding that it’s estimated that they number around 2.5 million Girl Scouts today

When you see the Girl Scouts, don’t forget to stop by and purchase their delicious cookies. Your purchase of a box of Thin Mints, Tagalongs or Samoas can go a long way in supporting the various social and civic causes. Equally important, congratulate their efforts for being role models and leaders in entrepreneurship, public service and an inspiration for other girls to excel in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Now, that's what we call, "Girl Power"!
