The United States Postal Service has introduced the new global forever Winter Wreath stamp, priced at $1.75, as part of its ongoing international rate series. Launched on September 18 in Humble, Texas, this stamp allows for mailing one-ounce letters to any country with first-class international mail service. Designed by Greg Breeding, it features a circular layout showcasing a holiday wreath made with snow-tipped evergreen limbs, pine cones, and silver and gold ornaments, crafted by Natalia Kostikova using artificial materials.
This stamp not only continues a tradition of holiday stamps that began with the 1962 Wreath and Candles issue but also symbolizes the global nature of mail delivery. With a history of wreaths representing rewards since ancient Rome, the Winter Wreath design reflects peace and happiness. The USPS has printed 20 million of these stamps, available in panes of 10, and collectors can obtain a black first-day cancel for this issue by submitting requests by January 18, 2027.
For stamp collectors, the Winter Wreath stamp represents a unique addition to the global international rate series, which has included various creative wreath designs since its inception in 2013. Collectors interested in this stamp can find additional information and related products at the website.
