Major League Baseball Outfielder Babe Ruth was larger than life during his professional baseball career. He played for 22 seasons, 10 World Series, and 714 home runs that few could have achieved. Babe Ruth's athletic accomplishments earned him the moniker of "Babe", "The Sultan of Swat" and "The Bambino".

Babe Ruth was both influential and star player in baseball and the world of sports. As a pitcher with the Boston Red Sox in 1914, he pitched 89 winning games. In 1920, he left for the New York Yankees and led the team with four World Series.

Babe Ruth's baseball record made him an instant celebrity that earned him endorsements in sports as "Baseball's 100 Greatest Players" by the Sporting News and ranked second in "Top North American athletes of the Century", behind Michael Jordan in a 1999 ESPN poll. He also received numerous off-the-field endorsements when his name is selected for a candy bar fittingly called Baby Ruth and prestigious awards which include the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936 and posthumously the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2018.
