This Day on January 27

As John Lennon once said, "Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." This famous quote reminds me of John Lennon's belief in a brighter future - of peace, love and prosperity. Yet, his religious views were peculiar and often shrouded in controversy that his 1971 single, "Imagine" has been regarded as an "atheist anthem" by some in the music industry.

As one of the founding members of the British music band "the Beatles",  his strong beliefs in the future that lies ahead and the good things to come has been the driving force to the success of his music career. Although John Lennon and his music bandmates were together for only eight years, John Lennon continued to write and record music. And over the years as a solo music artist, John Lennon recorded over 150 songs.

His song music, "Instant Karma" could be considered to be one of his best achievements as a music composer. He once told, "I wrote it for breakfast, recorded it for lunch and we’re putting it out for dinner.” - to describe his immense dedication and urgency for writing the song. Check out this YouTube video of John Lennon singing his song, "Instant Karma". And, take notice of Yoko Ono wearing a blindfold while knitting as John Lennon plays the piano and sings at the same time. I hope that by watching the video you'll appreciate the message that the late John Lennon wanted us to both hear and also see.
