Summary of Royal Mail's 2026 Commemorative Stamp Program
The Royal Mail has revealed the first eight issues of its 2026 commemorative stamp program, which is set to appeal to collectors with themes ranging from pop culture to historical anniversaries. The program launches on January 13 with a tribute to the hit series Stranger Things, celebrating its cultural impact since its inception in 2016. Following that, on January 21, the iconic Concorde airliner will be commemorated, highlighting its 50th anniversary of commercial service.
In February, collectors can look forward to stamps celebrating Hornby Model Railways’ 125th anniversary on February 19 and a collection dedicated to roses on February 26, nodding to the Royal National Rose Society’s history. March will feature The Lord of the Rings on March 20, coinciding with the movie trilogy's 25th anniversary, and a stamp honoring Queen Elizabeth II on her 100th birth anniversary will be issued on April 21.
The program continues with themes for castles on May 21 and waterfalls on June 23, appealing to various interests among stamp collectors. The complete 2026 stamp schedule will be announced later, with emphasis on the fact that the current listing is provisional and subject to change.
