Norway Unveils Its Exciting 2026 Stamp Program

Norway’s postal service, Posten, has unveiled an exciting stamp program for 2026, featuring a diverse array of themes and significant commemorative issues. The first stamps will be released on February 2, focusing on architecture, with denominations reflecting new letter prices effective from February 1: 28 krone for domestic letters, 37 krone for Europe, and 44 krone for global postage. Additionally, a special stamp titled "Reuse" will be available in rolls of 100.

On March 2, a set celebrating folk costumes will be issued for large and extra-large letters. Further stamps will honor key national anniversaries, including the Year of Local Newspapers on April 23 and the 250th anniversary of Blaafarvevaerket on May 9. Cat enthusiasts can look forward to a stamp featuring cats released on June 11, alongside a miniature sheet for the FIFA World Cup.

The program will culminate on November 6 with the annual Christmas issue. All stamps will be printed using the offset method, and while the program remains tentative, it promises to be a thrilling year ahead for stamp collectors. For further details, refer to the source.
