Ireland’s postal service, An Post, has issued a set of four nondenominated (€1.65) stamps to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the famous Irish boy band Westlife. Each stamp features a different band member: Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne, while a €3 souvenir sheet includes an image of all four members together. Westlife expressed their gratitude, stating that being featured on Irish stamps is a significant honor and a special way to mark their 25 years of music.
Westlife, formed in Sligo, Ireland, gained fame with numerous number one singles in the UK and Ireland, including their iconic debut "Swear It Again". The band has sold over 55 million records and received multiple awards, including BRIT and MTV awards. After a hiatus from 2012 to 2018, they reunited and continue to engage with fans, planning a major concert in October 2025 at the Royal Albert Hall.
The stamps, designed by Shaughn McGrath Creative, are printed in limited quantities, with 80,000 booklets containing four stamps and 12,000 souvenir sheets. These collectible items, along with a first-day cover showcasing Westlife’s performance at Wembley Stadium, are available for purchase on the An Post website. Collectors and fans alike will appreciate this unique tribute to a beloved musical group.
