Bpost has introduced its stamp program for 2026, which will begin on January 26 with a diverse array of themes celebrating Belgium's cultural heritage and milestones. Notable releases include stamps commemorating the "Unseen 19th-century photography" and the centenary of the National Railway Company of Belgium. The program also recognizes the 50th anniversary of the King Baudouin Foundation and features designs from renowned milliner Elvis Pompilio.
In April, the program will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Europa stamp and feature a series dedicated to the Pop Art movement. Other April highlights include a stamp honoring Queen Elisabeth of Belgium for her 150th birthday and a charming collection of ladybug species. The June releases will focus on Belgium's inventors, particularly Paul Janssen, and will also commemorate the FIFA World Cup.
The year will culminate in October with five final stamp issues, including a special issue for Princess Elisabeth's 25th birthday and unique QR code stamps featuring woodpeckers. Additional stamps will showcase natural themes and festive designs for Christmas. Collectors will also see definitive stamps featuring King Philippe. For more detailed updates, visit this article.
