The F15J Eagle is a twin-engine, all-weather fighter plane based on the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle in use by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). The F-15 Eagle was the replacement for Japan's older fighter planes made up of F-104 Starfighter and F4 Phantom. The JASDF has not lost an F-15 in air-to-air combat.
